Udupi: All five accused in Pitty Nagesh murder case acquitted

Udupi, Sep 6: All five accused who have been named as having carried out the murder of Pitty Nagesh alias Nagesh Devadiga (41) from Kukkikatte in 2014, were acquitted by the district sessions court on Tuesday September 6.

Ivan Richard alias Munna, Guruprasad Shetty, Santosh Poojary, Vishwanath Shetty and Zakir Hussain were the accused acquitted by the court due to lack of proper witnesses.

Pitty Nagesh, a rowdy sheeter, was killed in front of Halima Sabju auditorium in Udyavar on September 11, 2014.

Around 71 witness were produced and 18 witnesses were examined at the court. Justice Shanathaveera Shivappa delivered the judgement on Tuesday. 

All the five accused were on bail. Lawyer Shantharam Shetty handled the case.
