Mangaluru, Sep 6: State general secretary of Hindu Mahasabha Dharmendra alleged that though the court has given an order to provide drainage, street lights, and proper road facilities for over 60 houses in Honnakatte, Kulai village, it has not been implemented by the local administration.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, September 6, he also said that some vested interests were not allowing the work to begin.
"Though the court has ordered the deputy commissioner to provide the above facilities, it has not been done. Because of interference of the local MLA and corporator, the work has not been started. The officials are not working as per the instructions of MLA," he alleged.
He also cautioned if the work doesn't get started in the next 10 days, along with other residents of Honnakatte, a protest will be held in front of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).
Why a contempt of court case should not be filed for not following the order, he questioned.
Poovappa Devadiga, Madhusudan and others were present.
