Sullia: Man charred to death in his sleep as house catches fire

Sullia, Sep 7: In a tragic incident, a man sleeping in his house was charred to death in a fire mishap on Wednesday September 7.

The deceased is identified as Parlikanje Sudhakar (47), a resident of Aivarnadu, Bellare. Sudhakar was sleeping in the house while his wife had gone away on some work. Their daughter had been to school.

Meanwhile, fire engulfed a portion of the house. Sudhakar could not run out as he was sick. It is said that he was burnt alive. It is suspected that a lamp lit in the house led to the fire mishap.

Police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot.
