Mangaluru: 'Wellness Drive' held at Milagres Central School

Mangaluru, Sep 7: To celebrate world Physiotherapy day, a 'Wellness Drive” was organized by the physiotherapy department of Father Muller Medical College on September 7 in Milagres Central School.

The programme was started with a prayer song sung by students. The school principal Fr Joseph Uday Fernandes welcomed the speaker Dr Shradha Shetty with a bouquet of flowers. Students from grade 3 to 7 were the attendees of the programme. They were happy to watch an inspiring skit put up by the students of Father Muller’s Medical College on healthy eating and right posture to carry school bags.

The benefits of exercise was also emphasised.The speaker educated the students on the importance of healthy food, right posture, and the need to be physically active, the right way to carry a school bag, proper balanced diet and nutrition.

The school principal Fr Joseph Udaya Fernandes and staff members were present for this programme. Violet Vas welcomed the gathering and Priya Pereira proposed vote of thanks. The session was very informative to the students.
