Mangaluru: Srinivas University conducts conference on Osteoarthritis Knee

Mangaluru, Sep 7: On account of World Physiotherapy Day, September 8, Institute of physiotherapy, Srinivas University conducted a CME on 'Recent trends in Physical Assessment and Management of Osteoarthritis Knee' on September 5. The CME started with the inaugural ceremony. Dr Harsha M Naik, assistant professor, Institute of Physiotherapy delivered the welcome address.

Dr Kamalakannan, associate professor, Institute of Physiotherapy briefed about the necessity of the conference and importance of Osteoarthritic Knee Rehabilitation. Dr Prem Kumar, dean incharge, associate professor, Dr Thrishala Noronha, associate professor, Institute of Physiotherapy along with the speakers inaugurated the ceremony. Dr Harsha M Naik, assistant professor delivered the vote of thanks.

Post inaugural ceremony was followed by speaker sessions. Three eminent speakers from Institute Of Physiotherapy engaged the delegates with their enlightening sessions on importance of Osteoarthritic Knee Rehabilitation. Programme began with the first speaker by Dr Madhuripu P, assistant professor, Institute of Physiotherapy, followed by second session by Dr Carolin Menezes, assistant professor, IPT, SU. The last session resumed after a short tea break by Dr Pathak Anupama, assistant professor, IPT, SU. Over 70 delegates participated from various batches from Institute Of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University, Mangaluru.
