Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School celebrates Nativity feast

Mangaluru, Sep 7: Lourdes Central School organised a short and meaningful programme on the occasion of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary on September 7 in the school lobby. The programme began with the universal prayer followed by melodious prayer song sung by the choir group and intentions which created a prayerful ambience.

Carol Mascarenhas of Class XD cheerfuly welcomed everyone and Jaden Saldanha of Class VII A enlightened all on the significance of the day which made everyone feel that everyone is indeed blessed to have Mary as mother who always protects the families. He also highlighted on tarditonal ways of celebration by offereing flowers by little children to ‘mamma Mary’ to show love, respect and gratitude towards our Mary.

The principal gave his thought provoking message that we need make our lives better by reaching out to others around us in whatever possible manner during this delightful moments of the festive season.

Eucharistic celecbration was organised for the catholic students and special prayers were offered for world peace and for the farmers who toil for making the food grains available for all. The programme ended with the feelings of gratitude expressed by Aadhya Shetty of Class VI A.
