Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School celebrates Teachers' Day

Mangaluru, Sep 7: It was a great day at St Agnes CBSE school as it was a celebration of Teachers Day. A grandeur programme was organised for the teachers for the dedicated service they provide to the school and to the students.

The programme began with a meaningful prayer service followed by a grand and mesmerising welcome dance with formal words of welcome. The students performed an action dance thanking teachers for their selfless service. A skit on importance of teaching subjects was well presented by the students. A special dance was dedicated to all teachers showing gratitude for their love and care shown towards students. A mime show on school life and teacher’s role was well presented too. The programme was well coordinated by students of grade VIII and V.

The school cabinets entertained the teachers with a captivating dance and melodious medley songs dedicated to teachers. To lighten the mood spot games were conducted to the teachers. They thanked every teacher for their love and dedication shown towards the students. The students Dayle, Reeshal, Avril, Anya and all members took the lead for the mesmerising programme.
The teachers then got together for some entertainment games and fun conducted by teachers Kirthi, Chandrika, Vinita Maria and Jevita. A ramp walk for teachers dressed as newspaper models was mesmerising to see.

The school principal delivered her message thanking all teachers for making the school a real place of learning through their great service. An inspirational song was played showing the reason of the presence of each and every teacher in the life of a student. A motivational video was also shown on ‘Specific motive of a teacher’. She emphasised the importance of role of a teacher as facilitating, directing, assessing, planning, designing, evaluating, connecting, caring to be carried out by every teacher. An important gesture by the management was distributed to the teachers.

The programme was hosted by Alisha Sequeira, Mouna Fahim welcomed the gathering. Teacher Sonia proposed the vote of thanks to all the students for presenting the captivating performances. Teacher Vinitha thanked all the cabinet members for entertaining the teachers with their performance. The programme came to an end with teachers joining for the fellowship meal.
The mangement, the administrator and the principal expressed their gratitude to all teachers and wished them a happy Teachers Day.
