Mangaluru: Rural police limits safe haven for criminals, 15 cases remain unsolved

Mangaluru, Sep 7: Mangaluru Rural police has become a safe haven for criminal activities and the accused as the police have not been able to crack at least 15 cases of theft and robbery.

In the last seven years there have been repeated cases of theft reported from Sri Subramanya Bhajana Mandira, Kalludelu Sadashiva temple, Manooru Ananthapadmanabha temple, Padu Bondantila Kordabbu temple , Padu Kombel temple, Chandika Durga Parameshwari temple. Padu Kapettu Panduranga Bhajana Mandali.

Besides, there have been cases of theft of money repeatedly. On September 3 late at night, thieves had broken into Shanti Guri temple and stolen money. But, so far no arrests have been made in a number of theft cases.

Illegal sand mining is also on in the CRZ area between 10 pm and 7 am as the police have turned a blind eye to the crimes.
