Mangaluru: NIA politically motivated outfit, alleges SDPI activist Riyaz Farangipete

Mangaluru, Sep 8:  SDPI activist Riyaz Farangipete has alleged that the central government's NIA is a politically motivated outfit and urged the agency to be transparent in carrying out investigations.

In a media statement following the raids at his residence on Thursday, September 8, he informed that the NIA team had confiscated his phone and also his wife's mobile phone pertaining to a case that took place in Bihar. 









“NIA officials quizzed me and they also examined various records. Five party activists were arrested ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit here based on the rumours. Relating to this case, NIA is gathering a detailed report,” he informed.

Party district general secretary was arrested related to this case. The foundation had released a booklet about converting India into an Islamic Nation by 2047, he said.

The organisation concerned has made various statements pertaining to this and PFI had also made its observations.

He also alleged that a copy of the booklet from Uttar Pradesh was placed in this booklet. “I will cooperate in the probe even in the future,” he added.

“I have taken charge of SDPI in Bihar. As I am working under the national executive committee of the party, I have taken part in the Bihar state committee meeting of the party,” he said.

He also informed that he and his party will cooperate with the agency in carrying out any kind of probe.
