Udupi: Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE celebrates World Physiotherapy Day 2022


Udupi, Sep 10: On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2022, Department of Physiotherapy, Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE, Manipal, conducted an educational competitive event, "Physio theatre", to enhance awareness and creativity among physiotherapy students on Osteoarthritis on September 8.

The chief guest of the event Dr Sharath Kumar Rao, dean, KMC, emphasised the importance of physiotherapists in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of arthritis. The guest of honour Dr Anand Venugopal, COO, Manipal Teaching Hospitals, highlighted the role of physiotherapist in healthcare system.

Dr G Arun Maiya, dean, MCHP, welcome the gathering and highlighted the need for celebrating the World Physiotherapy Day to create awareness among public. Dr John Solomon, HoD, Department of Physiotherapy proposed a vote of thanks. During the program, the dignitaries released an exercise prescription manual for patients with knee osteoarthritis for the benefit of community.
