Puttur, Sep 10: Girls team of St Philomena PU College, Puttur bagged the winner's trophy in the Taluk Level Throw Ball Tournament organized by the Pre-University Educational Board, Dakshina kannada in collaboration with Govt Pre-University College, Uppinagady on Friday, September 9.

The physical directors, Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya trained the players.

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the campus director of St Philomena Institutions, Fr Stany Pinto, the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta and the staff members congratulated the following students:

M S Chaithanya (II PCMC) won 'The Best Smasher' trophy and Thanisha P Rai (I PCMB 'D') won the 'The Best Receiver' trophy.
