Mangalore: Asia-Pacific Body Building Championship Beckons Vincent Prakash Carlo

Mangalore, Apr 20: Vincent Carlo, only son of Norbert Carlo and Veera Monis, husband of Flavia Carlo and father of Venizeia Anni Carlo and Vanice Sallon Carlo, is from Bajjodi, Kulshekhar in the city. Vincent, who developed interest in body building at a very young age, despite being from a poor family, has won a number of awards and recognitions. He is also helping youngsters interested in body building by providing them encouragement and training at Silva’s Gym, Kalpane here.

He will be participating in Asia-Pacific Body Building Championship 2011 to be held at Borocay Islands, Phillipines, from April 29 to May 2 this year. He has been invited by Indian Fitness and Body Builders Federation, Bangalore, to participate in the event, considering his past achievements.

Carlo has won dozens of gold, silver and bronze medals in body building championships held  in India. In the international arena, he secured 14th place in the World Championship Body Building Competition held in 1997 at Castre, France, sixth place in the Indo-Pak Peace and Friendship World Championship Body Building Competition held in 2004 at Islamabad, and was placed third in the World Championship Body Building Competition held in 2010 at Cook Islands, New Zealand.

Carlo, who hails from a poor family, feels that participating in the Asia-Pacific Body Building Championship this year, is a lifetime opportunity where he will get exposure and show his talent. He deserves rich encouragement.
