Dubai, April 21 (IANS/WAM) The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Canada's Transportation Safety Board (TSB) to strengthen co-operation in civil aviation safety and to coordinate investigations between the two parties.
The pact was been signed by Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, minister of economy and chairman of the GCAA, and Wendy A. Tadros, TSB's chief operating officer.
Both sides also agreed to enhance investigation standards, policies, guidelines and procedures, and share expertise and training opportunities.
They have agreed to cooperate in areas of mutual interest such as providing investigation support, expertise and facilities, conduct training courses for investigators, exchange of information on the use of specific investigation techniques, methodologies, standards and procedures, in addition to exchanging information on investigation and operational experiences.
