Mangaluru: Customs officials seize Rs 44.33 lac worth gold at airport

Mangaluru, Sep 11: Customs officials at the international airport in the city confiscated 869 gram of gold that was being transported illegally. The value of the confiscated gold is Rs 44.33 lac.

The officials informed that four men and one woman from Kasargod and Mangaluru origin tried to carry the gold illegally between the period of September 6 to 10.

They were caught while smuggling the gold in paste form in pants, innerwear, vest, shoe and rectum.
