Kasargod: Police confiscate huge stock of banned pan masala products, arrest two

Kasargod, Sep 11: A police team led by Vidyanagar police station SI Anup Kumar confiscated a huge stock of the prohibited pan masala products and arrested two persons in this connection.

P H Kamaruddin (32), a resident of Chettunguyi Pallam House and Rishad M C (26) of Chettunguyi, are the arrested accused.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a rented house at Chettunguyi and found a stock of banned pan masala products. They were filled in more than 10 plastic sacks. During interrogation, police came to know that the accused used to supply the products to various districts after bringing the same from Karnataka and stocking it at the rented house facility.

Police said that the value of the confiscated products is Rs 3 lac.
