Udupi, Sep 11: Paartha Pejathaya and Dharini, Udupi and Atharva Sudeep Shetty and Shruthi secured the first place in Udupi and Mangaluru Category photo contest, organised by Daijiworld Udupi in association with Tanishq Jewellery on the occasion of Shree Krishna Janmastami.
The contest was organised in two categories - Udupi and Mangaluru sections respectively. In each category, winners will get for the first place Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 for the second place and Rs 2,000 for the third place and three of them will get Rs 1,000 each as consolation prizes along with trophy and certificate.

Top 20 contestants in both the categories will be featured in an exclusive photo shoot by Tanishq Jewellery at their Udupi and Mangaluru showrooms.
Ace photographer Gurudath Kamath, Arul D’Souza, Shirva, and artist Wilson Kayyar comprised the jury panel.
Sharing his experience about the judgment sessions Gurudath Kamath said “Most of the photos are worked on color pallets. Emotions of the characters in the picture should be given more importance. As it’s a Yoshodha – Krishna duo pictures emotions of the character that should needs to be given prominence. Technically, the photographs were very good. But concentration needs to be given to emotions. All the children and their mothers were beautifully shown. As it is a concept based on mother and child bonding between them becomes prominent” he opined.
Wilson Kayyar, renowned artist and another jury member said “ An amazing world of mother and child was unveiled before us. All the pictures were beautifully crafted. We didn’t give much importance for the background but our concentration was on the emotions captured. Further in the coming days
when participating in such competitions importance should be given to the emotions and feelings. I congratulate Daijiworld Udupi for organising and also the participants,” he said.
The event was well supported by Tanishq Jewellery - the national branded jewellery known for its unique designs, customer friendly store. Various designed jewellery for all occasions are available at the store in Udupi and Mangaluru.
