Mangaluru, Sep 12: Onam was celebrated in all its grandeur and glory at Expert P U College, Valachil. Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson of Expert Group of Institutions, lit the festive lamp, which marked the commencement of the celebration of Onam.
Pookkalam (floral design) was the main highlight of the programme. A traditional “Thiruvathirakkali’’ was also performed by the staff infront of the floral design.
Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Dr Viju B Kamath, Chemistry subject coordinator, Vidyasharada, HoD, Kannada, Druthi V Hegde, HoD, Chemistry, Shanthala Kamath, HoD, Mathematics, Madhavi Latha, HoD, Biology, Bhavya V, Anitha Shetty, student welfare officers were present.
Jasmine Prathibha, HoD, English welcomed the gathering and Nikitha Amin (CCA coordinator) proposed a vote of thanks.
