Kundapur, Sep 12: “The Jalasiri drinking water project of Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (KUIDFC) costing Rs 35.50 crore has been completed,” said the concerned official at the special session of the Town Municipality Council (TMC) held at Dr V S Acharya auditorium on September 12.
“The contractors will maintain the project for the next eight years,” he said.
“The total pipeline connections are 4080 of which 2750 of them are old connections and 1330 are now,” he said.
Senior member Mohandas Shenoy said that the contractors should set right complaints if any without delay.
Ashfak of Kodi ward said that sand is filled at the area of the pipeline that should be set right. Kamala Manjunath said that the road near Kodi Ramamandira is damaged, and should be repaired. Santhosh Kumar Shetty, Prabhaker, Sridhar Sheregar, Prabhavati Shetty, Shekar Poojary, Shwetha, Vanita Billava, Raghavendra Kharvi, Devaki Sannayya and Rathnakar Kundapur spoke about the lapses in their wards.
Municipal council president Veena Bhasker Mendon presided over the meeting. Vice president Sandeep Kharvi, standing committee president Girish Devadiga, chief officer Gopalakrishna Shetty and officials were present.
