Kundapur, Sep 14: The driver of a Bengaluru-Kundapur private bus stopped the vehicle mid-way through the journey and collapsed under the influence of alcohol, the video of which went viral on the social media.

The villain in this video is the driver of an Udupi-based bus operator named Bharathi who falls in the middle of the road in an inebriated state.

The driver who was already driving in an inebriated state stopped the bus in the middle of the road at midnight for a break. At this point, he consumed alcohol again and lost control over his movements and his body. He tried to get into the bus and onto his seat when one of the passengers assaulted the driver. The driver who was already drunk lost control over himself and fell in the middle of the highway.

These scenes were meanwhile captured in a video using a phone by those present there and later posted on social media. The video became viral. However, the name of the driver and the journey details of the bus were not available.

BEST SUGGESTED SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM, HEAFTY FINES TO THE OWNERS AND THE BUS DRIVER, PUTTING PASSANGES LIFE AT RISK IS A SERIOUS OFFENCE, THE FINE SHOUD NOT BE IN 3 OR 4 DIGIT NO SHOULD BE IN 6 DIGIT NOS AS PER INFLATIONS IS HIGH ALL OVER THE WORLD SO THE FINES ALSO SHOULD INCREASE, AND PUT A PERMENANT BAN ON THE LICIENCE OF THE DRIVER AND THE CONDOCTER

Only a true governance and strict law and order can solve these kind of things - not getting bail for 500 and fine 200 for no jail etc will serve the purpose.

Never travel by private buses in long routes . Always travel by train which is the safest and fastest mode. and locopilots are subjected to alcohol tests before assuming the duty. To keep them alert they will be provided with caution form to obey the limits of speed too. but is there any policeman to check these private bus drivers just for eg.. when its on the way to any destination from the source midway?

What happens to police and RTO allowing drivers to drive in a inebriated state? RTO and Police controlled by the private inter city bus mafia. Guys safest is train, no issues at all. Why do you people patronise the private inter city bus mafia?

Good that the driver fell down after being completely sozzled; if he was able to take to the wheels, it's anybody's guess what a grim tragedy could have happened! The authorities should take the bus owners to task and take strict action for employing such irresponsible drivers!
