Mangalore: Valentine D'Souza appointed new CCB inspector

Mangalore, Sep 27: Valentine D’Souza, Karkala circle inspector, has been transferred to Mangalore city and will take charge as the new city crime branch (CCB) inspector. He will be replacing Venkatesh Prasanna.
D’Souza will assume charge on Monday, September 30.
He has held various positions in several places rendering his best services to maintain law and order. He has earlier served as sub-inspector in Udupi, Kota, Honnavar, Bhatkal and as circle inspector in Bantwal, Terikere, Kundapur, Panambur and Karkala. He has also served as a DCIB inspector in Chikmagalur.
Valentine D’Souza was born in Sagar, Shimoga district. He belongs to 1994 IPS batch and received police training from Mysore academy. As a body builder, he won Junior Mr India title in 1991, gold medal for three years in Mysore University and has also taken part in state and national-level competitions.
He has been recognized with Shri Shivappa Nayak award, Shri Pulkeshi award and other honours.
Speaking to Daijiworld, Valentine D’ Souza said his priority will be controlling the crime rate in the city. On the increasing number of crimes, missing cases, underworld activities, drug mafia, rape and other criminal activities in the city, he said that he will study the details step by step and take necessary action to curb them.
