Shocking and tragody at the same time to the family in one time.such tragody could be avoided by Mescom and family in future by not having high voltage wires direct above or near the houses and by taking safer steps to use other methods. The wife shouldnt have touch him direct when electrocuted .whatever it is may their souls rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathys to the family,children.sad. sad.Even now mescom can transfer the wires away from house roof so that in future such tragody doesnt happens again.

From the photos we can see the High Tension wires pass very close to the houses, even painting or maintaining the same proves fatal.
As mentioned by some even rubber insulation too would fail in this case as it was high tension wire. A ladder with spikes underneath & clamp to hold the tree would have prevented the slip of ladder & this tragedy. But precautions would have helped in this case.
Tying the top of the ladder to the tree with a rope too would have helped, but nothing can be done now other than praying may their souls rest in peace.

Very sad & heart breaking incident. May their souls rest in peace. I feel , The negligence of MESCOM is also a reason for the sad incidence. When the cables of the hi tension passing nearby any house or road they should have taken proper safety measures by insulating the said wires. Poor children they became orphans .

please use the wooden ladder near the electrical overhead lines. every year we are observing such type of incidents . manufacturer should provide the Rubber insulation for Metal/Aluminium ladders. Government and organisations need to raise the safety campaigns to prevent such type of incidents.
life is precious please be safe.

Condolences to the family members on the sad demise. This is a second incident in a matter of one month under similar circumstances. People getting electrocuted by a high voltage line and holding a steel ladder. It is a practice in Mangalore to cover the high voltage line with rubber covers to avoid people coming in contact with the electrical cable . The electricity dept. should seriously look into the issue. With less space, houses are built very near to the electricity line.Even sometimes a overhead line passes over the house which is risky. Even some of the flats are just adjacent to the supply cables and there are chances of electrocution.

Tragic incident and news. May their soul Rest in Peace. Surprised to read as" ladder fell on HT wires". Normally HT pole Height is 32 Feet. and slagging between two pole wire may drop down 25~28 feet. How could it fell on this height? Is the ladder is too long? Why the HT line passes through residential area? Mescom will clearly the issue?
