Doha: FC Warriors beat A Hannan X1 to lift Mobile Madaka Trophy 2017

Doha, Feb 25: The 4th season of Mobile Madaka Trophy 2017 underarm cricket tournament presented by Mangalore Friends Qatar under the guidance of Abdul Sathar Madaka was held at Gharfa Cricket Ground on February 24.









































As many as 10 teams participated in the knock-out tournament namely Shine Madaka, Markhiya X1, Cool Guys, FC Warriors A, Kaikambba Friends, FC Warriors B, Doha Friends, Reliance Kattipalla, Hannan X1 and Golden Madoor. The matches were five over a side.

Saleem Sagar from Blue Pearl car rentals, Abdulla Monu from Euro Parts, Asmath Ali from Golden Trading and Daijiworld director Alexis Castelino were the guests for the opening ceremony who inauguarted the tournament. They were welcomed with bouquets by Mangalore Friends Qatar.

The first and the second semifinals were played between Shine Madaka and Hannan X1, FC Warriors A and  FC Warriors B respectively.

FC Warriors A and Hannan X1 qualified for the finals.

Batting first in the finals, Hannan X1 scored 28 runs losing six wickets in the allotted five overs. Chasing the target, FC Warriors A made a mincemeat of the target scoring 30 runs in just 2.1 overs.

Abdulla Monu of Euro Parts was the main sponsor of the tournament while Asmath Ali of Golden Trading was the support sponsor.

Rahamath Ali of Your Choice, Nasir of Alliance Qatar, tournament organisers Abdul Sathar Madaka, Ashraf Deralakatte, Ashraf Madaka, Sharif Madaka, Samad Kuthar, Samad Boliyar, Zubair Venur, Salim Konaje, Ayub and Sharif Bantwal were present.

Dikshith of FC Warriors A was declared the Man of the Match and the series. Fayaz and Farveez of Hannan were adjuged the best bowler and batsman respectively.

Hundreds of cricket lovers witnessed and enjoyed the tournament.
