Dubai, Apr 24: Yakshagana Abhysa Kendra UAE will be holding Yakshosthsava 2024 by playing Dasharathi Darshana on June 9 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai.
Brochure and tickets releasing ceremony were held recently in Dubai at Fortune Banquet Hall in the presence of dignitaries and the large number of Yakshagana lovers.
The programme was traditionally started by rendering of prayers by the students. Later, Shekhar D Shettigar, renowned Yakshagana Guru, briefed about Dasharathi Darshana also added that all the artistes performing are trained from UAE.
Renowned Yakshagana 'Bhagavata' of Tulunadu Yaksha Dhruva Patla Sathish Shetty, will be performing in Bhagavathike along with noted artistes Bhavyashree Kulkunda, Savinay Nelliteertha, Mayur Naiga. The makeup and costumes are by Gangadhar D Shettigar Kinnigoli. Nithin Kumpala and Manoj Shettigar Haleyangadi will be joining from India.
In the opening ceremony, Dinesh Shetty, patron of the UAE Yakshagana Abhyasa Kendra, spoke about the journey, purpose, and success of the UAE Yakshagana Abhyasa Kendra. He also expressed gratitude for the success of this year's Dasharathi Darshana Yakshagana programme.
Prominent personalities who inaugurated the event and released the invitation letters and entry passes included UAE entrepreneurs and art supporters Sudhakar Rao Pejavar, Harish Bangera, Divakar Shetty, Sandeep Rai Nanje, Bala Salian, Manohar Hegde, Ramanand Shetty, Raghuram Shettigar, Vasu Kumar Shetty, Prabhakara Suvarna, Dhananjay Shettigar Kinnigoli, as well as media associates Sharath Saralaya, Nagesh Saralaya, and Ramesh Suvarna, Prashanth Nair from V4 News. Additionally, senior artiste Venkatesh Shastri Putthige and senior member Jayananda Pakkala attended the programme and shared their insights into the event and its proceedings.
The well-known MC, Rajesh Kuthar, hosted the event, and Girish Narayan extended their thanks and dedication to the success of the event.
