Kuwait, Mar 11: As per their tradition in the area of sports, Billava Sangha Kuwait (BSK) held the third cricket tournament at Abbasiya which was played with great sportsmanship on February 24 at the Abbasiya cricket ground.

The event commenced with a prayer by Jyothi Sudhir Suvarna. President, Raghu Poojary inaugurated the event and the six participating teams were introduced by the sports secretary Sandesh Amin. Satish Kunder, advisor of the association, in his speech explained the scholarship plans and the Gejjegiri initiation. He also urged everyone to strengthen BSK by registering as members.

The winners of the tournament were:
Billava Brothers – winners (Dheeraj Salian - captain)
Baidashree Cricketers - runners up (Rohith Poojary – captain)

Prizes were distributed by the outstanding performers in the following fields:
Man of the match - Dheeraj Salian (Billava Brothers)
Man of the series - Sharath Kumar (Baidashree Cricketers)
Batsman of the series - Sunil Kumar (Baidashree Cricketers)
Bowler of the series - Praveen Bangera (Baidashree Cricketers)

The commentators Amarnath Suvarna and Greenson D’Souza did an excellent job, while the scores were efficiently handled by Yashpal Poojary. All the matches were fairly refereed by the sports committee. The event was gracefully hosted by Amarnath Suvarna and capably photographed by Sandeep Kumar Attavar.

Breakfast at the event was sponsored by the president. Reggae Billava Friends sponsored the delicious lunch and mineral drinking water was sponsored by Sonstep Typing Center.

The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony. Everyone was invited to the family get-together to be held on March 24 at Fintas Garden from 9 am onwards.
