Government refuses to comment on Chinese attempt to intrude in Ladakh

New Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday refused to comment on reports of an attempt by Chinese troops to intrude into Indian territory in Ladakh sector.

"This is not a subject on which the government normally makes a comment," he said at a media briefing after a cabinet meeting.

Indian troops reportedly foiled two incursion bids by the Chinese near Pangong Lake in Ladakh area on Tuesday, during which stones were reportedly pelted, injuring soldiers. The Army had not commented officially on the issue.
