Dear 'Do-Re-Me-Fa' browser, after presenting previous two beautiful chords of my column covering the accolade of Konkani Music Guru Fr.Walter Albuquerque S.J., and maharaja of Konkani music, 'Konkan Kogull' Shri Wilfy Rebimbus, with immense pleasure I am back again to present the third chord of 'Do-Re-Me-Fa' who is none other than all in one Orchestra Maestro - Shri Adrian Gomes from Kuwait.
Play on to his most recent single man instrumental album "A tribute to the Konkani Composers" you will find his talent as self-explanatory. Shri Adrian Gomes casts a magical spell on the audience regardless of which musical instrument he plays. He is the master of all musical instruments including Organ, Guitar, Drums, Coronet, Circle Bass, Euphonium, Trumpet, and Accordion and to say a complete MUSIC MAN !
"Wilfy Nite - 2002" in Kuwait : On October 4th 2002, Konkann Kogull Wilfy Rebimbus and his family will be featuring in "Wilfy Nite" which will be held in Kuwait. Elaborate preparations for this musical extravaganza is in full swing. 'Adrian Gomes' will be the music director of the show and he will play Accordion, Keyboard and Trumpet and will conduct the orchestra for the Nite. A large gathering of Konkani music lovers residing in Kuwait is anticipated.

ORCHESTRA MAESTRO - ADRIAN GOMES
Shri Adrian Gomes was born on 2nd September in the year 1965. His proud parents are Shri Augustine Gomes and Lilly Gomes who hail from Shirva (Manchakal) parish of Mangalore Diocese. He has a brother and 3 sisters. His wife is Anitha and they have two sons Alister and Alston by name. He learnt musical instruments during his early student days from the veteran music teacher Fr.Walter Albuquerque at Fatima Retreat House, Mangalore. Initially, he started with Accordion and gradually mastered guitar, drums, trumpet etc… He played instruments in the St.Aloysius College musical band for various Aloysian programmes.
When he graduated from his student life to his working career, he pursued music as a hobby in life than a profession. In course of time he had the privilege of playing musical accompaniment to renowned orchestras and performing for several great Hindi, Malayalam & Tamil screen playback singers and directors like Shri O.P.Nayyar, Dr.Smt.P.Susheela, Smt.Vasundhara Das etc… both in India and in the Gulf. At present he is based in Kuwait and is a well-known figure and admired by all the linguistic communities there!
