From the Editor's desk :
Dear Do..Re..Me..Fa.. lover,
Really it gives me great pleasure to observe that more and more browser’s access, read and enjoy this unique Konkanni music column of daijidubai/konkandaiz.com and express their sincere feelings and appreciation on its various chords. In no way I have a right to claim any credit. The due credit should go to the right artiste whom I portray in my Do..Re..Me..Fa.. chord. Unfortunately, I regrettably notice that after going through some of my chords browsers are indifferent and keep silent. Undoubtedly talent is a God given gift. Whoever the artiste is, we must posses a big heart to appreciate his talents and his valuable contributions to our dear maaibhaas. I am fully confident that you will be generous in giving your remarks in future.
Today I am really privileged and honoured to present to you my special chord. The artiste of this chord is a good friend of mine and is almost of my age. Many years back, we were singing in Konkan Kogul Wilfy’s group together. Then he was a very talented singer who later ventured into composing his own songs. But now leaving me at the ground level, this friend of mine has reached such a great height of popularity, where I never be able to reach. I am really proud of this unique musical chord, who is none other than the great ‘Yodelling King’ – Shri Melwyn Peres.
Thank you once again for your interest in browsing my column and I am sure you will generously come forward with your responses to this column encouraging our great music artistes.
With love I remain,
Gerry D'Mello
