Ronnie Lobo (66), son of Marceline & the late Albert Lobo, husband of Fatima, father of Lara & Shaun / Cheryl Anne, brother of Philo / Ambrose & Malcolm / Cynthia, passed away on August 14, 2017 at New Delhi residence.

Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Cathedral at 4 pm on Wednesday, August 16, followed by burial at York Cemetery, opp. Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.

To Mr. Lobo it has been rather suttle and depressing to learn about your passing away. I remember you as my boss at the Taj with all the glamour and hard work that I put in then, You will be rememberd well through all my wishes. Dear Lobo family, It is with profound sadness that I am writing this article about my good friend Ronnie Lobo. I met Ronnie back in 1991 at the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok when we organised a Rajasthan Royals food promotion with the Taj group at the Shangri-La Bangkok, we even had the Maharaja of Jaipur at the event. Ronnie and I worked tirelessly with Ronnie the GM of the hotel in New Delhi to make it happen. We flew a huge entourage of chefs and dancers and musicians. Ronnie was such a great guy who was always willing to help and care about others. At the time I was a young man and a F&B EAM and I went on to become a GM and had a sparkling career. I will always remember that moment when Ronnie and I stood up on the stage together and took a bow. Condolences to the family. Richard Hatter United Kingdom

So saddened to read today of the passing of Ronnie who I have known since I was 16. A real friend , gentlemen and wonderful human being . Let’s hope you are in a better place Ronnie. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Lobo’s passing. He was my mentor very early in my career at Taj Mansingh during the 80’s. A thorough gentleman, his passing is huge loss to those of us who knew him.

Was completely saddened to hear the news of Mr. Lobo's demise. A Thorough Hotelier, worked very closely with him while opening one of the best resort / destination in India, The Radisson Resort and Spa Alibaug. Owe a lot to him. An Absolute Gentlemen. He will always hold a special place in my heart. May his soul rest in eternal peace. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Will always miss you SIR.
