Louisa Mary Pinto (96), wife of the late Harry Pinto, daughter of the late John Robert and Lucy Catherine Pais (Valencia), mother of Geraldine, Alexious and Bernardine, grandmother of Ryan and Kathleen, sister of the late Edwin, Sr Filomena (Evelyn) (Sisters of Charity, Jeppu, Mangalore), Eugene, Stella D’Souza, Henry, Juliana and Gregory, passed away on February 26, 2024.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 15 in St Peter's Church, Calgary at 13:00 MST. The internment is at Queen's Park cemetery, Calgary at 14:45 MST.

Dear Bernie, Geraldine and Alex, We are sorry to hear about the passing away of your dear mother. I (Pearl) cherish the fond memories of meeting and spending time with her in Columbia, SC, and remember the phone calls our mothers had. So glad I was able to attend her 90th birthday celebration. We were sorry to hear the sad news of the passing away of beloved Mrs. Louisa Pinto. We had met her along with Alex visiting Bernie in Columbia where she celebrated her 90th birthday. She was delightful, soft-spoken, kind and loving . It was such a pleasure to chat with her about the good old days . I wished my Mom and Dad were alive to join in the conversation to reminisce of all the relatives and friends from Mangalore and Bangalore. She was God-fearing!
