Fr. Rudolf Jerome D'Souza, (Fr. Dolfy D'Souza), aged 59, son of late Rosario Dsouza and late Mary Dsouza, a Carmelite Priest,who was suffering from terminal Cancer breathed his last on Aug 3, 3009.

The Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, 6th August at 3.30 p.m. at Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill, Mangalore.

I know Fr.Dolfy from 1984 onwards. A very simple and humble and unassuming Carmelite. Many things were spoken about him today- engineer priest, techno-brain, lover of nature, good formator,obedient carmelite,expert in home science etc. One thing that I would like to add is that He was a very good photographer too.Infact that was one thing that I noted in him during my initial contacts with him. Of late I used to say to him: "Fr.Dolfy, hanv Wilfy". Sorgar melliam - Fr.Wilfy.

Fr. Rudolf was my first superior in 1992, the year I entered Carmel,and it is he who taught me the real value of manual labour along with many other good values. May he partake in the Resurrection of the Lord.

It is very sad to hear the death of Fr.Dolfy. I was with him for two years as confriar in Kushalnagar.Personally I have noted him that he is a person fully dedicated and committed to the task entrusted to him. I just can''t forget his valuable support to the community and particularly to the province.May His soul rest in peace.

Today is a very sad day for me, because Fr.Dolfy is no more!We have lived years together since our boyhood at vocation home, Mangalore in Kerala (initiation) and later seminary formation & Novitiate in TN and as priests in Goa and Karnataka.He was a very good comapanion and friend of mine as I mourn his death, I pray God Almighty to grant him eternal rest in the company of Saints in heaven! Sincere condolences to his near and dear ones ! R.I.P.

Fr Rudolph''s death is a sad event for Eliarpadavu Holy Cross Parish. Fr Rudolph is son of the soil, and one and the eldest of the two priests hailing from Holy Cross Parish, Eliarpadavu. May his soul rest in peace. The whole parish sends its condolences to Provincial and the whole Carmelite Fretarnity and also to Fr Rodolph''s near and dear one''s.

It is with great sadness i read the news of the sad demise of our dear Fr. Dolfy. I began my journey to the priesthood with Fr. Dolfy who was my first superior in Shellim (Goa) . He is a dedicated carmelite and inspiring priest to all of us. Very humle and he loved us. As I stand today at the atlar of God i thank God for the gift of Fr. Dolfy to the church and the Carmelite Order in particular. May his soul rest in peace. Fr. Joachim OCD
