Dear Music lovers,
It is my unique privilege to welcome you once again to ‘Do..Re..Me..Fa.., your most favourite music column. In the meantime, I extend my hearty thanks for your whole-hearted response to my previous music chord. Undoubtedly, your great support and encouragement keeps me going in my marathon walk in the vast music arena.
Until recent times we could hardly find any soul who would care for “Konkani Music”. Bravo! for a change in recent times we are really fortunate to see some drastic revolution in Konkani Music. The great example is the forthcoming music album “DINI DINI” presented by none other than the world’s renowned web portal “Daijiworld.com”. This unique music album is a creation of Baab Melvyn Rodrigues, one of the greatest poets of Konkanni, the world has ever seen, who is also known as the creator of “Konkanni Poets!”. This music album has been prepared with a record breaking budget in Konkanni history with India’s renowned bollywood singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Vasundara Das & Soumya Roah. The singers in the album are: Guru Kiran, Lorna, Rony D’Cunha, Adolf Jayatilak, Warren, Joy Fernandes and Alwyn Fernandes. The music is rendered by film music director Alwyn Fernandes. Undoubtedly, this music album is going to create a new history in Konkanni music arena. Together with Do..Re..Me..Fa.. family I wish my beloved friend Melvyn Rodrigues a thrilling success in his maiden venture ‘DINI DINI”!
Now, let me play my sweet music chord. With great joy, I am here today to present to you yet another super music star – A star which is shining brightly in the skies of Konkani music. He is an ‘Alter Christus’ by profession, an award winning teacher and above all is a renowned musician. This superb star whom I am referring today is none other than Rev.Fr.Clement Mascarenhas, who won the prestigious “Best High School Teacher Award” recently.
As I play this beautiful chord today, you will surely have a great divine experience stuffed with sweet fragrance of music.

An Outstanding Priest, Teacher & Musician.
“Sing and Pray”, “Teach and Learn”, “Serve and Love” – these seem to be the guiding principles in the outstanding life of Fr. Clement Mascarenhas. He is an expert in the liturgical music with numerous Cassettes and CDs to his credit. He is the winner of the “Best High School Teacher” award in South Kanara District for the year 2004-2005. Above all, he is a devoted Servant of God as a Catholic Priest in the Diocese of Mangalore. The following is a multifaceted life-profile of Fr.Clement Mascarenhas.
Childhood & Education :-
Clement Mascarenhas was born in Kelmbet Parish of Mangalore Diocese on 23rd November 1954. His proud parents were Mr. Thomas Mascarenhas and Stephania Cardoza. He was one among his sibling group of 3 brothers and sisters. The boy Clement did his early studies in the Board High School, Belman and his further college studies in St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. After obtaining a B.Sc. degree, he joined St. Joseph’s Seminary, Mangalore, for his priestly studies. Besides his B.Sc. degree, he later equipped himself with M.A (English Literature) and M.Ed. degrees so that he may serve the people as a teacher.
