Dear Do..Re..Me..Fa.. browsers,

Once again a hearty welcome to your most favorite Konkani Music column on world’s renowned web portal ‘Daijiworld.com’. As you are well aware, this unique portal has not remained just an ordinary web portal rather it has transformed into an ultra-modern and innovative e-media through ‘TV Daijiworld’ and thus has reached new greater heights.  On your behalf I wish to thank and congratulate the brain and brawn of this portal Sri Walter Nandalike and his talented team for giving the best to the browsers around the globe. ‘Daijiworld’ as it is today, is nothing but the fruits of their great sacrifice, dedication and determination! 

Last week the Konkanni world witnessed a great Konkanni show in Dubai on the occasion of glorious 8th Anniversary of Daiji Dubai, the Konkanni Writers’ Forum.   Hearty congratulations to the dynamic leader Shri Hemacharya, all daiji’s & daijins.  Great job Daiji’s, keep it up! Kudos to Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus on receiving Daiji Puraskar 2007 and Manesth Jemma Padil on receiving special honor for his literary contributions to the Konkani world.

In my great determination of presenting you a melodious musical chord as an ‘Easter Egg’  I was glancing the skies studded with shining music stars, instantly I found a ‘super divine star’!  This star whom I am referring to is an ‘Alter Christus’, a highly talented personality who is not only tirelessly supplying the spiritual water to the thirsting souls through his God-given ‘divine’ music for the ‘Greater Glory of God’, but also accepted a ‘divine call’ of saving souls by spreading ‘His Word!’.  The super divine-star whom I am referring today is none other than a renowned retreat preacher & the Founder/Director of ‘Divine Call Centre, Mulki’ Rev. Fr. Jacob Gerald Sequeira S.V.D., fondly known as ‘Fr.Jerry Sequeira’.

During my visit to the ‘Divine Call Centre, Mulki’ before my moving to Canada recently, I have experienced a tremendous inner peace, joy and happiness.  To know the truth, to believe and have faith, to be filled with grace and peace, to enjoy the Kingdom of God, to proclaim the word, to have life in its fullness and to receive blessing in abundance, I urge each one of you, especially those who are working abroad, to spend a few days of your holidays at this Holy place.  I am sure that none of you will return from that wonderful ‘Divine Call Centre’ unrewarded.

“A  PRIEST  WITH  A  DIVINE  TOUCH”  FR. JERRY  SEQUEIRA, SVD

Filled with the Holy Spirit, Fr. Jerry Sequeira sees all things through divine glasses and through the charisma of the Holy Spirit turns everything into divine! Like King David of the Old Testament, who was the anointed one of Yahweh, played the psalms on the harp and the lute and danced in the holy places, Fr. Jerry Sequeira is a charismatic priest, expert in Indian and Western music, both vocal and instrumental and in Indian classical dance as well!  He is either the founder or co-founder of three divine centres in India. He has no future personal plans or past unfulfilled dreams.  He just accepts God’s plans and lives according to His Will.  God is the Potter and Fr. Jerry is the clay!
