Catherine has been one of our active, committed and zealous members. From the pictures she shared, i could see that she was very dedicated about keeping a beautiful altar at home, the Christmas crib too with the help of her grandkids, that she was a loving family person too. I had the joy of meeting her during my visit to Mangalore in Feb 2019 to meet Mangalore group for the first time. Catherine was extremely friendly and communicative. I was really happy to see her again when she came to Chennai for MP Silver Jubilee. A vibrant, self-confident and joyful person. Ever young at heart, it was good to see Catherine on stage during the concluding cultural event, reliving her moment of glory with the Beauty Queen crown and long red dress. We are truly shocked and saddened at this news. The beautiful vibrant lady, full of life and vitality is no more, is really difficult to comprehend. Catherine was strong and remarkable in every sense. She was the epitome of devoutness to God , her family , friends and all her undertakings. She never shied away from any task or duty. You would see her active and busy at any feast or celebration in the Parish or at the Friary, so generous and gracious . She was a member of many associations and groups. Her devotion to her family was very strong and was one of the founder members of the Mothers Prayers group in Mangalore. One can speak volumes of this lady who also won the Senior Beauty Contests. We have to thank God that He called her when He thought best , without much pain and suffering . She is now enjoying eternal bliss in His heavenly abode. Our sincere heartfelt condolences to her husband, children, grand children and the numerous friends she leaves behind. We pray for acceptance to God’s will at this irreparable loss. Rest in peace dear Catherine. We are going to miss you and your beautiful smile.
