Elizabeth Serrao (86), wife of the late Marcel Serrao, mother of Alex/Linette, Basil/Veronica, Catherine/Clement, Deena/Rohan, Sunitha/Biju & Sujatha/Anand, grandmother of Christopher/Lina, Caroline/Phillip, Adeline, Delora/Ian, Anaida, Avinash, Erica, Nehal, Jonathan, Craig, Rhea, Jenifer and Emmanuel, great grandmother of Chloe, Emily & Noah, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

Funeral on Saturday, June 29.
Viewing in St Sebastian Church, Bendur, Mangalore at 8:15 am followed by Mass at 9 am.

The burial will take place in the afternoon at St Joseph's Church Cemetery, Hirebile, after the funeral ceremony at St Joseph Church, Hirebile, at 3.00 pm.

The late Mrs. Elizabeth Serrao is fondly remembered by everyone as the Eliz teacher at Hirebile and around. She was a teacher at Government Pry School in Hirebile. She was an exemplary tutor and very kind at heart, especially when she was concerned about the students. She was a very active member of St. Joseph's Church in Hirebile until she moved to Mangalore. She is very down-to-earth, kind, and compassionate. She always went above and beyond to help her students succeed in life. She used to feel their success was her own. She truly made a lasting impact on all those around her. Her dedication to her faith and community is truly inspiring. Her leadership and generosity have left a lasting legacy at St. Joseph's Church. She was very active in parish activities and a dedicated member of the church. She was a good singer and an able leader, too. With her ever-smiling face, she has shown her love and concern for everyone. She is one of the stalwarts of St. Joseph's Parish, Hirebile. Whom we all can never forget. She brought up her family in a very devotional and pious atmosphere, like adhering to the holy family of Nazareth. Which remains a motivation for many families at Hirebile. Yes, our Eliz teacher lived a good Catholic life with great faith, and now she has finished her race. A race that inspired and created a legacy for hundreds of students. She stood in the place of God for many lives and sculpted a beautiful piece of art out of every student's life. She is an ever green legend. Let us thank the Lord for granting 86 years of long life to our beloved Eliz teacher. May her Soul Rest in Peace. Heartfelt Condolences to all members of the family.
