Isac D’Souza (94) (retired ADM of Oriental Insurance), husband of the late Esthel Saldhana, father of Alban / Joyce, Austin / Veera and Arvin / Sunitha, grandfather of Ajwal, Ajwin, Aaron, Alin and Enosh, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Mortal remains will be brought to the residence 'Elish' (Mahalthota, Valadeger) at 2.30pm for public viewing. Funeral cortege leaves residence for Our Lady of Loretto Church, Loretto on Friday, February 27 at 4.30pm, followed by Mass.

Dearest Bappu, You were my go-to person for 25 years of my life, and you are one of the biggest reasons I am who I am today. You were my dictionary, my encyclopedia, my Google all in one. No question was ever too small, no doubt ever unanswered. You always had time for me. I always made it a point to visit you whenever I was on vacation. Missed visiting you this time because of commitments will forever remain a regret. I truly believed I would see you on my next visit. It is so hard to accept that you are gone. Along with my Papa, taught me to love agriculture. Watching you both work tirelessly in the fields, with patience and dedication, is what gave me my green thumb. The passion and respect you both had for the land inspired me deeply. Every time I see something grow, I always reminisce my younger days It breaks my heart that I cannot be there to bid you goodbye, as I am down with fever. I wish with all my heart that I could fly to see you one last time. This is how you fondly recollected me on our last visit "Thum sing korthay ney, Gurpar ghar thuje. and that is how I will always remember you Bappu. No one can ever fill the vacuum you have left in our lives. Okay, Bappu… now go and party in heaven with Pappa, Mai, and Esthel Maushi, Lethi Akai and hope you are all together again, smiling down on us. You are a gem. Dear Alban, Austin And Arvin.. Heartfelt condolences to you and your families on the sad demise of your Dad. Isac bapu will be remembered and missed by all of us who know him with lots of gratitude and respect. He was our mentor. One of the few to graduate from St Aloysius college those days from our Catholic community from bantvsl area. Again one of the few to work as a top official in oriental insurance from our place.. More than these achievements Isa Bapu was a kind and affectionate human being. He was always ready to help when people around him needed any help. Very simple and unassuming personality. It was always a pleasure to listen to this wise man. I as a child and even later admired his intelligence. . Isa bapu you will be always remembered with lots of love . We will miss you in Mahalthota. Rest in peace🙏
