Leena Saldanha nee Furtado (76), wife of Rosario Oswald Saldanha, mother of Jennifer / Melwyn Rasquinha and Joyster / Nonisha Saldanha, grandmother of Melrian, Jereth and Meloria, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Mortal remains will be kept for public viewing on Tuesday, March 10 from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm at the residence "OSLEEN", CTO Road, Darbe, Puttur, followed by funeral Mass in Yelmudi Chapel, Puttur at 3.30 pm.

May her soul rest in peace. She was my Primary Head Teacher while I was studying at Mai De Deus School, Puttur. She was one of the strictest and most disciplined teachers we had, but she had a very kind heart. I still remember those days fondly. She will definitely be missed.
