Oswald Joseph D’Souza
(Franklin home, lower Bendoor)
Born: 29-02-1936
Passed away on: 07-06-2020
Son of Marcel and Matilda D’Souza
Husband of the late Renee Correa D’Souza
A wonderful father and grandfather,
A pillar, a shoulder, a friend.
There are so many memories
It really doesn’t feel like it’s the end.
There was never a dull moment,
With you there was always cheer.
Though you seem so far,
We will always hold you near.
There’s nobody else like you
You were truly one of a kind
You’ll always be here with us,
in our hearts and in our minds.
We salute the man you were
And will honor the lessons you taught us
In wit and wisdom,
Gentleness and strength
You were our hero to the very end.
A loving tribute from his daughters
Jean, Belinda, late Miriam, Melanie and their families

Sun, Jul 12 2020Dearest Jean, Belinda, Melanie,
I know I haven't interacted with uncle much. But I do remember the playtime visits to your house and later seeing him when you guys visited Belgaum.
Was awestruck by his personality. Those kind laughing eyes. The majestic moustache :)
And I know how much your worlds revolved around him. I know you will miss him terribly. But it will always be with fond memories that you will think of him.
My deepest condolences to you all.

We will never forget your dad, the tall handsome guy! We were always in awe of him. Look at the beautiful children he brought up. He may have left us all, but his memories will always remain. He will always look down on you. God bless you all.

Tue, Jul 07 2020Late O.J.D'Souza /Uncle Ozzy was indeed a unique /daring /rare personality in our Family and popular with one and all with his unique wit . He managed his Coffee Estates from his early Twenties right upto the age of 70 and knew his Coffee Plantation Balehithlu like the palm of his hand.
He was an expert at everything and knew every single operation in the Estate and was like a Giant Swiss knife from service his Jeep, to repairing the Pulpar or his Double Barrel Gun . He was indeed a Authority on Coffee and was friend to all the planters in his area. He bore the loss of his beloved wife Renee when he was just in his late 30's and later in his 80's lost his lovely daughter Miriam. He bore the loss well and never showed his true grief. He managed to bring p his daughters and was a friend philosopher and guide to them and his grandchildren all.
To us his 50 plus nephews and nieces he was a rare gem and entertained us when we went for holidays to Mangalore or the Estates. Going for shikar with him was a unique experience.
He will be greatly missed but we can be sure that he is reunited with his dear ones and Rests
with the Maker for Ever.
