Udupi: Legal action against false rumouring of child lifting – SP Machhindra

Udupi, Sep 15: “False news of miscreants lifting children is being spread in social media these days,” stated Superintendent of Police Akshay Hakay Machhindra.

“The videos of various other countries and states are published for this purpose. Anxious people stopping innocent people due to the news and assaulting them has come to light,” he said.

“People are advised to dial 112 if they come across suspicious people in their vicinity. Police personnel will arrive at the spot immediately, conduct investigations and take suitable action,” the SP said.

“Legal action will be taken against those who spread false rumours of lifting children,” warned Akshay Hakay Machhindra in a press release.
