Mangaluru, Sep 16: Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) ACCE (I) Mangalore center in association with Ramco Cements Limited organised Engineers’ Day celebration and Techno Week 2022 here at St Sebastian Hall on Thursday September 15.
Addressing the gathering, head construction projects Adani Group Suhas Patil said, “Every day is a very challenging day for all of us. We always come out of our comfort zones and strive our best. During this period, we witness innovation. Whenever we undertake any project, it is a proud moment for us, and also when it is recognised by our family.”
General manger, Ramco Cements Limited Vinod A said, “We are proud to be associated with this programme. We remember Sir M Vishveshwaraya. We as Ramco implement a lot of his teachings. We have always believed in innovation as well.”
Secretary general ACCE, Vijay Vishnu Mayya said, “The role of an engineer is not only planning and executing but to assimilate knowledge. Meanwhile, we need to accept challenges as well.”
The Eminent Engineer Award was conferred to chief engineer-civil NMPA Panambur, Harinath AV and director operations and administration Marian Projects Pvt Ltd Ujwal D’Souza, Outstanding Constructor Award to Mahabala M, proprietor MM Constructions, and Anantha Mithra Kalabhavi Award to Suraj Kumar A, assistant general manager technical, Ramco Cements Limited, Mangaluru.
Techno Week advisor Anil Sebastian D’Souza was conferred with Anantha Mithra Kalabhavi Award for the year 2021 as he was absent during the last year’s event.
ACCE (I) Mangalore centre chairman Satyaranjan Rao welcomed the gathering, secretary Clody Jerald Lobo rendered the vote of thanks and Rajesh compered the event.
ACCE (I) Mangalore center treasurer Devendra K Shetty, Techno Week advisor Anil Sebastian D’Souza, Suraj Kumar A, convenor Vinod T D’Souza, Arunraj K V and others were present.
