Byndoor: With driver sleeping, miscreants steal parked truck’s tyres

Byndoor, Sep 16: Tyres were stolen from a truck that was parked near Shiroor toll gate here.

The truck was plying from Ankola to Mangaluru. The vehicle was parked on the left side of Shiroor toll gate as the driver wanted to take rest.

Thieves stole all the five tyres of the truck as the driver was fast asleep. Driver Shahil said that the cost of the tyres is Rs one lac as the truck and tyres were new.

Byndoor circle inspector Santhosh Kaikini said that the police team is already on the hunt for the culprits.

    I cant believe this.When driver was sleeping ,all five tyres were removed and he didnt feel anything or awake?Either self had hand in this robbery or hand in glove with someone .In future lorry owners must hide a camera under where not even driver knows about it.(with satelite help)then you know the chor.

    This is not something new. It's been happening for decades and decades. Only thing new is that now this type of activities reported unlike the pre-internet days. Even the stepneys from scooters were being stolen. Feku or no Feku.

    2 possible things in this case either driver himself did this has he knows the cost of the tyre and its new one... he can sell it and make money or driver has taken ganja and slept..

    A few days back cleaner drivers a lorry and kills two, now while driver takes rest tyres robbed. Anything will be robbed and sold including Government owned entities after 2014.
