Kudapur, Sep 16: A youth jumped into a well and ended his life at Attikoodlu of Hosangadi village under the limits of Amasebail police station.
The deceased is identified as Vinaya Shetty (33), a local resident and employee of a hotel.
When Amasebail police arrived at the spot, none of the locals were ready to bring the body out of the well. Police personnel Prakash himself got down into the well and brought the mortal remains of the deceased.
Sub inspector Subbanna, ASI Umesh Naik, head constable Krishna and women staff Chaithra Prakash helped Prakash in bringing the body out of the well.
Prakash’s effort to bring the body of the deceased from the well is appreciated by locals as well as others.
The exact reason for the extreme step by Vinaya is not yet known.
