Udupi, Sep 17: Kavita Trust (R) in association with Niranthar Udyavar will organise ‘Udyavar Kavyal Udev’, a poetry recitation programme on Sunday September 18 at St Vincent Pallotti Convent, Udyavar.
Fr Stany B Lobo, chancellor, diocese of Udupi and parish priest, Udyavar church, and Sr Leena, superior, Pallotti convent will inaugurate the programme.
Rann Udyavar and XM Udyavar, two of the renowned poets of Udyavar, will also be offered homages on the occasion. Renowned dramatist, play writer of Udyavar Johny Mariabhoomi will be honoured. Michael D'Souza will conduct a short interlocution with Johny Mariabhoomi.
Wilson Kateel will preside over the poetry recitation.
Many renowned and budding poets are expected to participate in the poetry recitation event.
Kavita Trust and Niranthar Udyavar have extended a cordial welcome to all Konkani poetry enthusiasts.
