Mangaluru, Sep 18: In a bizarre incident reported from Karnad under Mulky police station limits, a father who picked his 9-year-old son from school, kept him in his friend’s house and later, created a ruckus in the institution questioning the whereabouts of his son.

Harish, a resident of Hejmady, threatened the staff of the school and filed a complaint with police that his son is missing from the school.

When police arrived and checked the CCTV footage of a shop near the school, it could be seen that the father himself was taking the boy in an autorickshaw.

Police took Harish, father of the boy into custody and interrogated him. Harish confessed that he had picked his son from the school and dropped him at his friend’s house at Kerekadu. Once the boy was brought back to school the matter was resolved. But it is not clear why the father of the boy behaved in such erratic manner.
