New Delhi, Apr 24 (PTI) Justice Santosh Hegde's threat to quit the Lokpal drafting committee over the alleged smear campaign against civil society activists blew over today with their representatives deciding that he will continue in the panel.

A meeting of the activists led by Anna Hazare also decided to write to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Chief Justice of India S H Kapadia offering themselves to any high-level inquiry into any allegations against them.

"The Committee recognised that the prime national duty of India Against Corruption has been to provide the country an independent and accountable Lokpal.

"The Committee resolved that Hegde will continue as a member.

Rahul, are you on the hit list and want to run away of the harsh reality? At this point of time Mr. Hegde has done enough to nab the culprits. It is the law & order which has the "shortest" arms to deal with it. Why are we shy to accept that the entire nation reels under the "corruption". Whom are we protect our mindless ethics?

Raja might have made some money but the people behind him are definitely some one else.

All Multi Million Dollar Corruption began with Bofors- The Begining of big time Corruption. Let us not forget Bhopal- Union Carbide. Then comes all the charges within the last two years involving both the Ruling and opposition parties. Look at the persons against or fighting against the nomination of memembers of the Panel. All are tainted. To name a few are Digvijay Singh, Mayavati,Sibal to mention a few. I am also surprised as to how Modi is supporting Azare while his own state bis yet to approve the Lokpal bill

    People,

Raja is too small fly to do 286,000 crore 2 G scandel all by himself without backing from top....

He is used as "Spoon" to eat "shit" by top non-constitutional authorities wisely....

There is a saying in kannada "Kothi benne thindu mekeya bayige orasidanhte..."

I think this is beyond Karunanidhi's daughter and possibly beyond Karunanidhi himself.... Possible everybody shared like successful crooks...

If somebody thinks this is all Raja's job because he sits in prison now ...I pity their intelligence....

Hassan Ali could be person who transferred money to Swiss banks....

Probably making Hassan Ali to undergo rigerous polygraph tests will reveal everything......However CBI unlikely to do it for obvious reasons... unless its put in directadminstrative control of Lokpal....

    Jai Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Definitely I will respect Mr Hegde...But the decisions like quiting Lokpal Committee is not correct from his side. He should be strong enough to face the challenge and protect India by just hitting these politicians cleverly. Thats what we expect from you.

We have no problem Santhosh Hegde continues as everyone knows he is a Very Very Clean person. But what about Shanti Bhushan and his son Prashant ? These both Father and Son should be out of the Lokpal Bill Panel as they are also CORRUPT. Until the Investigations are over they both should be out of the Panel. How can they be there, when there is accusation against them ?

Mr. Santhosh Hegde is a clean person with absolute knowledge constitution and of law and many political parties doesn’t like him to be there. Hegde must be tolerant to such comments, from cheap politicians and must not succumb to their tactics, resigning is not the solution, he must face them boldly. Best thing is not to reply such crooked politicians like Dig Vijay Singh. When Sonya Gandhi has promised her support to Anna Hazare he need not worry about any one in Congress even the P.M.
