Bantwal: Body of 62-year-old missing man found in lake

Bantwal, Sep 18: The mortal remains of a missing person was found in a lake in Poyyamoole of Punacha village in the taluk.

The deceased is identified as Krishna Nayak (62), a resident of Poyyamoole of Punacha village.

Krishna Nayak left his village on Saturday, September 17 in the afternoon saying that he was going to the market but did not return till the evening. His family members started frantically searching for him at their relatives' place but Krishna Nayak could not be found.

Krishna Nayak's son Naveen Kumar filed a complaint with Vittal police.

A case of missing was registered and the police began its search operation when Krishna Nayak's dead body was found in a lake. The police rushed to the spot and collected information.
