St Petersburg Makes Three-tonne Easter Cake

St. Petersburg, April 24 (IANS/RIA Novosti) The people of Russia's St. Petersburg city will Sunday celebrate Easter by serving a three-tonne Easter cake known as "kulich".

Kulich is an important part of Russian Easter dinner, along with coloured eggs and paskha - cottage cheese blended with nuts and candied fruits.

This kulich will be the world's largest. It measures 10 by 20 meters and weighs three metric tons, organisers said.
