Bantwal: Grand Nagamandolotsava Held at MLA Rai’s Household in Kallige

Bantwal, Apr 24: Nagamandalotsava was held with grandeur at the Nagabana located at Kalline, near here in the household of MLA Ramanath Rai from Thursday April 21 to Saturday April 23 night.

Vedic celebrations were held on Friday April morning 22 and Saturday April 23 night, led by Vedamurti Polali Subrahmanya Tantri.

Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala presided over the religious discourse held on the occasion.

In his presidential address, Dr Heggade said that Nagaradhane has special significance to the coastal people.

Kateel temple priest Anant Asranna delivered a religious discourse.

Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes, former state minister Amarnat Shetty, MLAs U T Khader, Abayachandra Jain and K Vasant Bangera, former MLA A Rukmaya Poojary, Pratapchandra Shetty, Ahmed Haji Thumbe and Modankap parish priest Fr Roque D’Souza among others were present.

MLA B Ramanat Rai couple were present on the dais.

Swami Vidyaprasannateertha of Subrahmanya mutt paid a visit and conveyed his best wishes.

Cultural programme including music concert by Vidyabhushana was held.

Zilla panchayat member Chandrapakash Shetty, taluk panchayat member Padmashekar Jain, ZP former member A C Bhandary, Rajashekar Rai, Dr Satish Rai and Chennaveni Dr Mohandas Shetty including thousands of devotees witnessed the celebration.
