“The three girls were traced in Chennai. They had travelled in a train to the city as they were disappointed with low marks in exams. They were ashamed to face their parents as they did not live up to theirexpectations. Hence, the students took a decision to leave the hostel. They decided to go to one of the relatives’ house in Chennai.
“The girls did not have mobile phones. They had never travelled like this independently that far earlier. They used the money which was given by their parents for their expenses.
“I urge teachers and parents to keep an eye on students and children who might be disturbed especially the students pursuing PU. There is an institution which does not permit parents to meet students for more than 3 months. Such institutions should permit parents meet their wards at least once a month, so that children will give a positive result,” he said.
