Mangalorean Naufal Kukkady Wins Top Honours at IIM-Bangalore

Mangalore, Apr 27: Many youngsters aspire to get into the prestigious IIMs in the country. Only a handful of them succeed, and even fewer pass out with distinction.

Naufal A Kukkady, a Mangalorean, not only succeeded in getting into IIIM-Bangalore, but even bagged the gold medal for best all-round performance from the institution in the post graduate programme in Software Enterprise Management (PGSEM).

The honour was recently conferred by none other than Kapil Sibal, union minister of human resource development and communications and information technology, who was the chief guest at IIM-B's 36th annual convocation ceremony, in the presence of IIM-B chairman Mukesh Ambani.

At the convocation, a total of 578 students were presented with their graduation diplomas, while nine students, including Naufal, bagged the gold.

Naufal Kukkady was born to P K Hussain and Maimuna M in Baikampady here. After completing his pre-university in Canara PU College, he did his BE in electronics and communication from NITK, Suratkal.

He has over five years of experience in the IT products industry and is currently working at Ittiam Systems Pvt Ltd.

At IIM-B, he was an active member of PGSEM student activity cell, organizing
both internal as well as industry focused events. While at IIMB he studied at ESCP Europe, Paris, for a term.

The education at IIM-B has helped him make a transition from an engineering role to the field of product marketing and technical sales, says Naufal.
