Mangaluru, Sep 28: A handful of anguished Bajrang Dal (BD) members confronted the organizers of a baby shower event for displaying the picture of a pregnant woman on a banner without her permission.

The taluk level Poshan monthly programme was held at Kolya Narayanaguru auditorium here by the District Panchayat Women and Children Welfare department and children’s development project Mangaluru rural. Nutritious food, rice delicacies and baby shower programme were included in it.

An old picture of a pregnant woman was copied from the internet and included in the banner hung in front of the auditorium. A photograph of local MLA U T Khader was included in it.

Bajrang Dal members who were anguished as they came to know about it, barged into the auditorium, expressed their anger over the negligence of the organisers and shouted slogans against the MLA.

The organizers later convinced the activists and removed the flex.

    Had it been picture of rappists Ram raheem or lingayat sheer or muthalik in the flex, it wouldnt been a issue for BD. They would have taken selfie with the picture.

    Dr kusuma Nellore ,Madam not only in India but whole world:Noone can publish without permission ,any fotos or any other details of anyone .Written permission is a must.with date .When done can sue a person with huge sum of money as penalty.and compansation.

    What is publicly available can never be termed as 'private'. If you post any picture on social media, it means you are agreeing it to go public. I can download and use it to any purpose. If someone else has clicked your photo and published on social media without your permission, it is an offense.

    Even if you share images on social media with "public" settings, it doesn't mean that the images are free use. Theoretically Facebook/secial site owns the copyright. You still have to take consent from the people in the image. This lady can still sue the people's who made the banner for copyright as well as "defamation". However, I do not support Bajramga dal, they are extremists who think they are above the law. Thanks to our corrupt politicians and police they are thriving in our city.

    BD was not worried about pregnant women picture . The problem because there was UT Khader picture SO ego problem. I am sure they have gone to the women house & irritated her . Shameless ,Insane people
